| Ms. Bette Gawinski directs the orchestra
program at Herndon Middle and High Schools. Ms. Gawinski comes from Wilmington, Delaware with an extensive background in conducting, string education, chorus, and general music. |
|
She has a Bachelor of Music Education, specializing in stringed instruments, and a Masters of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Delaware.
Ms. Gawinski has taught at the elementary, middle, high school, and university levels as well as in her private studio. She was Delaware All-State Orchestra chairperson for four years. Prior to becoming orchestra director at Herndon, she was executive director of the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras.
Ms. Gawinski has also played violin and viola professionally.
