Reminders
Pre-Festival Concert. Thu, Mar
15th, 7:00 p.m., Herndon High School Auditorium. Orchestra members
should arrive by 6:15 p.m. and report to the Band Room. (Use
Entrance 6 at the rear of HHS; booster parents will direct you to the
Band Room.)
District Festival. Thu, Mar 22nd, 3:40 p.m., Kenmore Middle
School, Arlington. Students arrive at 1:45 p.m. |

Area Orchestra Students at the
2006 Pre-Festival Concert

Students in the fifth and sixth grades who have at least one
year of experience and can read music may participate in the Reston-Herndon
Area Orchestra. This group is a combined ensemble made up of several
elementary schools in the area. It meets on Monday afternoons from October
through March. Students prepare two concerts and participate in the Virginia
District XII Orchestra Festival. During the 2006-7 school
year, 54 students participated in the Reston-Herndon area orchestra.
